Tutoring Services

I have been a reception teacher for 11 years and therefore I have lots of  experience working with children in this age group (4 and 5 year olds).  I understand  where the children are coming from and where they need to get to at the end of the year. Tutoring is a great way to focus on supporting a child and their particular needs and I am able to cater for children's different learning styles and interests.

I specialise in supporting reception children (4 and 5 year olds), although, I am also able to help children in year 1 (5 and 6 year olds) as I have a clear understanding of where they are heading.

I believe that a great relationship between teacher and student is the key to being successful. I also feel that working with parents to support their children and keep them informed every step of the way is crucial. Feedback and target setting is a great way to support progression. Lessons should be fun, engaging and hands on, as I find these are my students favourite and most memorable types of lessons in school. I believe that  if you enjoy something you are more likely to remember it.
